Locker Room Monitors
We are looking for volunteers to become Locker Room Monitors for the upcoming season. Locker room monitors must register with USA Hockey, complete SafeSport certification, and a background check via the links above. A volunteer credit of 2 hours will be given to any one who completes the safe sport training and volunteers for locker room monitoring.
Please review the linked documents for WAHA Locker Room Procedures and USA Hockey Locker Procedures.
Important Information
- Locker Room Monitors need to arrive at the rink 30 minutes before practice and must be in or near the locker room until the last skaters leave.
- Locker rooms must be locked during practice. Only coaches and Locker Room Monitors may have access to the keys for the locker rooms.
- The locker room monitors will be responsible for ensuring that players and parents adhere to our code of conduct in the locker rooms. They will also be responsible for stopping any unwanted behavior and report any situations that arise to the coach and team manager.
Expectations
I have read and understand Section 8.K of the Everest Youth Hockey Handbook regarding the expectations of the Locker Room Monitor.
For any volunteer shift I register for, I agree to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to practice and stay until the last skater has left the locker room.
If I am unable to make it to a shift I registered for, I will find a replacement for that shift.
I will notify Coaches and the Manager of Managers of any damage or vandalism to the locker rooms immediately.
